This data tracks the total debt outstanding (in millions of dollars), total debt service (in thousands of dollars), and the percentage of debt services as a share of total revenues for each municipality in Orange County.
Summary Statement
Among towns, New Windsor has a significantly higher total debt outstanding ($37.5 million) compared to Greenville ($0.19 million). For cities, Middletown has a substantially higher total debt outstanding ($89.6 million) and a much larger percentage of debt services as a share of total revenues (26.3%) compared to Newburgh which has $77.5 million in total debt outstanding and 4.6% debt services as a share of total revenues. Among villages, Kiryas Joel has a high total debt outstanding ($71.9 million), while Unionville has a much lower total debt outstanding ($0.13 million).
