What does this measure?

This indicator measures the number and percentage of children who received blood lead tests by specific ages, as well as the number of births and % of All Children Born in 2005. The table provides data for various Mid Hudson counties in New York State for the years 2005-2008 and 2019.

Summary Statement

The table highlights that during the 2005-2008 period, 40.0% of children in New York State were tested two or more times by the age of 36 months. In Orange County, the age group of 9 to over 18 months had the highest number of tests conducted, with a total of 3,237 children tested. By 2019, the percentage of children in New York State tested two or more times by the age of 36 months had increased to 59.3%. In the same year, the highest rate of testing was observed in children aged 18 to 35 months, reaching 52.9%.
