Incidence of Obesity

What does this measure?

This indicator is measuring obesity rates in two different populations within several Hudson Valley counties: adults from 2008-2009 and students from 2010-2012 and 2022-2025. The data is broken down by county and shows the percentage of the population that is considered obese and overweight based on BMI.

BMI = Body Mass Index (measure of body fat based on height and weight

Obesity = 30 or higher BMI

Overweight or Obese = 25 or higher BMI
