Summary Statement

The data from 2010 indicates that both fuel oil, kerosene, and natural gas were widely used in the Hudson Valley. However, the 2025 report (data from 2021) reveals a clear shift toward natural gas as the dominant energy source. While there is no specific data available for the Hudson Valley, the overall trend for New York State shows a significant increase in natural gas usage compared to 2010, reaching 4,489,009.
